These are the brands we can rank, because each publishes both a rated output and a rated draw. Each takes a different bet on the pump, and that bet sets the Wh/L before anything else does.
The default in Australian marinas. Portable, modular and framed versions of one pump platform, in AC, DC and petrol. Big output in a short window; efficiency depends entirely on which membrane pack you choose.
Modular DC systems built around Schenker's Energy Recovery System. The most efficient litres in the table, aimed squarely at solar-powered liveaboards and long-passage boats without a generator.
The original energy-recovery brand. Clark pump systems from 24 L/hr up, all DC, all in the 4 to 5 Wh/L band. Widely serviced, strong parts network, premium pricing.
A long-established French manufacturer with DC, AC and dual-power ranges. The DUO models switch between the battery bank and mains at a switch, which is unusual and useful on a boat that sometimes has shore power.
An Australian manufacturer of small portable 12 V systems built around off-the-shelf filters and a standard 2521 membrane, aimed at small cruisers and off-grid use.
These brands have verified Australian stockists but do not publish both a rated output and a rated draw at a stated voltage, which is what the ranking needs. Each has a page saying who sells it here and exactly what figure is missing.
